From May 6 to 12, 2024, the Krasivo Sanatorium hosts a Week of Maintaining Lung Health (in honor of World Asthma Day on May 7)

The week from May 6 to 12, 2024, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation declared Lung Health Week (in honor of World Asthma Day - May 7). The life of the entire human body and each of its cells depends on the availability of oxygen. And the only organ of our body that is able to receive it is the lungs. Every day a person takes 20-25 thousand breaths and exhales, about 10 thousand liters of air pass through the lungs. The respiratory system is responsible for saturating the body with oxygen. In addition, the respiratory organs filter the inhaled air, removing excess carbon dioxide and harmful substances.

To preserve lung health, it is necessary to exclude negative life factors that provoke the onset of diseases and support their development. This means quitting smoking, regular cardio, proper nutrition and regular physical activity will free the body from extra pounds, and the lungs from pressure. Taking care of your health is important. Even a banal runny nose requires proper treatment, otherwise it can imperceptibly become a serious disease. Spend your weekends outdoors. Watch your teeth. People with healthy teeth are much less likely to become victims of lung function disorders.

The lungs, like all other parts of our body, age over time, become less flexible and lose their strength, which makes breathing difficult. It is impossible to stop the aging process of the body, but everyone can help the lungs stay healthy. We wish you good health!
